Backstory is a WGN production where anchor Larry Potash takes viewers on a brief exploration of intriguing tales in history, culture, religion and science from Chicago and beyond.

With little access to live footage from the actual event, I was asked to create a series of illustrations to better visually tell the story of the controversial 1972 Olympic basketball final between the USA and the Soviet Union.
